Visual Storytelling for a Catholic Crisis Pregnancy Ministry
This video was created to promote a retreat ministry supporting women navigating unexpected pregnancies—and it remains one of the most meaningful pieces I’ve worked on.
My role was to tell a deeply personal story with honesty and care. I conducted the interviews, filmed on-location, and edited the final piece to highlight the raw emotion and quiet strength in each woman’s journey.
From a technical standpoint, I used high-quality cinema gear to ensure the footage felt intimate and polished. I paid special attention to natural light and composition to reflect the quiet, sacred tone of the retreat environment. Every choice in color grading (done in DaVinci Resolve) and sound design was intentional—to let the vulnerability of the story speak for itself without distraction.
As a filmmaker, I see stories like this not just as content, but as moments of encounter. My goal was to create a space—through film—where viewers could feel the weight of grief, the tension of uncertainty, and ultimately, the hope that comes from faith and community.
This wasn’t just a video. It was a testimony of God’s presence in the midst of hardship—and I’m grateful to have helped bring it to life.
